We announced last month new forecasts on COVID-19 for all of the US and Canada, as well as some countries in Europe. We also announced our first forecasts for influenza. We know some of you are waiting for those forecasts: we are still working on getting them. We are collecting and analyzing large amount of data, and it is taking a bit longer than expected. We are not going to rush it, though - we want to make sure our forecasts are accurate and reliable.
We are already dealing with a large amount of data: our models are handling a population close to 1 billion individuals. Yet, as we anticipate expanding our forecasts to even more countries in the future, we are working on optimizing our algorithms and infrastructure to ensure we can handle the increased volume of data.
We are also exploring new ways to make our forecasts more efficient and accurate. We are trying out new approaches to speed up our forecasting process, with new algorithm and the help of some supplementary data analysis.
We aim to have these forecasts ready early next month. We know it is taking a bit longer, but we are working hard to get it done. We will keep you updated on our progress.
